Speed

In normal operation, mehitabel 2.0 is about 24 times faster than mehitabel 1.2 (really!). If speed is your goal, here are some things to know:

• b/u to text slows mehitabel down. If you don’t really need it, you’ll get better performance by not using it.

• RAM caching speeds mehitabel (and Tabby, and Host) up. You don’t need a huge cache — 128K or 256K helps considerably.
